Hannah's Haven

What we believe

Our Statement of Faith

Rooted in His Word. Redeemed by His Love. Restored by His Grace.

At Hannah’s Haven, our faith begins and ends with Jesus Christ. We believe the God who created us in love has not abandoned us in our brokenness, and that no life is beyond the reach of His redeeming grace. Our hope is more than a wish for better circumstances. It rests in the risen Savior, through whom a life once overwhelmed by darkness can be made new.

WE BELIEVE IN THE ONE TRUE GOD

We believe in one eternal, sovereign, and loving God who exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy and righteous, rich in mercy, faithful in every promise, and worthy of our complete trust. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all life, and through Jesus Christ, He lovingly receives those who come to Him in faith.

We believe every human being is created in His image and possesses inherent dignity and worth. That worth is not earned through good behavior, lost through failure, or diminished by suffering. Every woman who enters Hannah’s Haven bears the image of the God who made her.

WE BELIEVE IN THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for faith and godly living. Scripture is the foundation of our beliefs, the measure of our teaching, and the final authority for our ministry.

We are committed to handling God's Word faithfully, in context, and with humility, never twisting its truth to manipulate, shame, or control those whom God has called us to love.

WE BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST IS OUR ONLY SAVIOR

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, willingly gave His life upon the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and rose bodily from the grave. He ascended into heaven, reigns as Lord, intercedes for believers, and will return in glory.

We believe humanity has fallen into sin and cannot restore itself to God through human effort. Salvation is the free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Genuine faith includes repentance and produces a transformed life, not as the cause of salvation, but as the fruit of His redeeming work. Forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life cannot be earned through sobriety, religious performance, good deeds, or personal improvement.

We believe the cross reveals the seriousness of sin, while the empty tomb declares the victory of our Savior. What Christ has accomplished is greater than anything we could ever accomplish on our own.

WE BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMING POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. He convicts us of sin, gives new life to those who believe in Jesus Christ, dwells within believers, guides us into truth, and equips us to live faithfully and serve others.

Transformation is more than learning to avoid what once harmed us. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, God renews our hearts, reshapes our desires, strengthens our character, and teaches us to walk in obedience, love, humility, and self-control.

We believe spiritual growth is a lifelong journey of surrender, repentance, discipleship, and dependence upon God's grace. His work within us is not measured by our claim to perfection, but reflected in a growing life of faithfulness to Christ.

WE BELIEVE IN REDEMPTION, RESTORATION, AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

We believe addiction, trauma, shame, and the consequences of past decisions can leave deep wounds, but they do not erase a person's dignity or place her beyond the reach of Christ. God offers forgiveness for sin, comfort in suffering, and the grace to begin again.

We also believe grace never requires us to deny the truth. Healing calls for honesty, restoration requires responsibility, and genuine change must be reflected in how we live and treat others. We recognize that some wounds require time, wise boundaries, practical support, and professional care. Seeking that care is not a failure of faith, and forgiveness never requires someone to return to an unsafe relationship.

We believe spiritual opposition is real, but Jesus Christ has triumphed through His death and resurrection. Our confidence rests in His victory, not in fear. We reject the belief that every hardship, illness, or emotional struggle is caused by spiritual attack, and we remain committed to truth, prayer, wisdom, and responsible action.

At Hannah’s Haven, we believe compassion and accountability belong together. We will never confuse a woman's struggles with her worth, nor will we confuse God's grace with permission to remain in destructive patterns.

WE BELIEVE WE WERE CREATED FOR COMMUNITY

We believe God did not create us to walk through life alone. The Church is the body of Christ, called to proclaim His Gospel, make disciples, practice baptism and the Lord's Supper, care for the vulnerable, and demonstrate His love through service.

We believe healthy Christian fellowship offers encouragement, honest accountability, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to grow in faith. Hannah’s Haven seeks to support that calling, never replace the local church.

Our desire is to cultivate a home where truth can be spoken without cruelty, struggles can be acknowledged without humiliation, and women can find genuine fellowship as they grow in faith and take responsibility for the lives before them.

WE BELIEVE OUR HOPE EXTENDS BEYOND THIS LIFE

We believe Jesus Christ will return in glory, the dead will be raised, and every person will stand before God in judgment. Those who belong to Christ will receive everlasting life in the renewed creation, while those who reject Him will face His righteous judgment.

We look forward to the day when evil will be finally defeated, suffering will come to an end, and the fullness of God's restoration will be revealed.

Our hope is not limited to the circumstances of this present life. It is anchored in the risen Savior, whose promises remain faithful beyond suffering, loss, and even death. Until that day, we are called to love faithfully, serve humbly, stand firmly upon His truth, and carry the hope of the Gospel into places where hope has been difficult to find.

OUR DECLARATION

Hannah’s Haven is founded upon the conviction that no woman's past is greater than the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.

We cannot promise that following Him will erase every sorrow, repair every relationship, or remove every consequence of the past. But we believe His grace is sufficient for the journey ahead, His truth is strong enough to build a life upon, and His love is faithful through every season of restoration.

We will welcome women with compassion, teach the truth of Scripture without compromise, encourage personal responsibility, and seek to reflect the character of Christ in everything we do.

This home bears Hannah's name because her life mattered. It exists because the lives of the women who will walk through its doors matter, too.

Our faith is not in a building, a program, or our ability to change another person's life. Our faith is in Jesus Christ, who makes redemption possible and gives us a hope that even death cannot take away.

In Her Memory. For Their Future. By His Grace.
